The ProTrainings Activity First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) course is designed to provide individuals with the essential first aid skills required to respond to injuries and medical emergencies during activities, events, and recreational settings. This training focuses on practical, easy-to-follow techniques that help participants manage incidents safely until professional medical help arrives. The course prepares participants to deal with common injuries and illnesses that may occur during sporting activities, outdoor events, fitness sessions, or group activities. Learners will develop the confidence to assess situations, provide immediate care, and support casualties in a safe and controlled manner. This training is ideal for those responsible for supervising or leading activities where basic first aid knowledge is required. Participants will learn the core principles of activity-based first aid, including: ✅ Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider ✅ Assessing an emergency situation and ensuring scene safety ✅ Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) ✅ Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) ✅ Placing an unconscious casualty into the recovery position ✅ Managing choking incidents ✅ Treating cuts, grazes, and minor wounds ✅ Managing bleeding and shock ✅ Responding to common activity-related injuries such as sprains, strains, and minor fractures ✅ Recognising when and how to seek further medical assistance Who Should Take This Course? This training is suitable for individuals who supervise or lead activities, including: Sports coaches and fitness instructors Outdoor activity leaders Youth group leaders and volunteers Event staff and marshals Teachers and school staff involved in activities Anyone responsible for participant safety during organised activities Certification & Validity Upon successful completion, participants receive an Activity First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) Certificate issued through ProTrainings. Certification validity: 3 years recommended renewal Qualification type: VTQ (Vocational Training Qualification) Please note that a minimum of 6 learners is required for this course to run. If the minimum number of bookings is not met, the course may be rescheduled or cancelled. In such circumstances, all affected learners will be notified in advance and alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.
