The ProTrainings Outdoor Pursuits First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) course provides essential first aid knowledge and practical skills for individuals involved in outdoor activities. The training focuses on managing common injuries and medical situations that may occur during outdoor pursuits, ensuring participants can respond quickly and effectively until professional help arrives. Learners will gain the confidence to assess emergency situations, provide basic first aid treatment, and maintain the safety of participants during outdoor activities. This course is ideal for individuals who support or assist with outdoor activities and require a foundational level of first aid training. Participants will learn key first aid skills relevant to outdoor environments, including: ✅ Understanding the role of an outdoor first aider ✅ Assessing emergency situations and ensuring safety ✅ Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) ✅ Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) ✅ Placing an unconscious casualty into the recovery position ✅ Managing choking incidents ✅ Treating cuts, grazes, and minor wounds ✅ Managing bleeding and shock ✅ Responding to sprains, strains, and minor fractures ✅ Recognising environmental risks such as cold exposure and dehydration Who Should Take This Course? Circet endeavours to meet specified training dates, and reserves the right to alter dates subject to operational constraints: • Where a course is cancelled by the Academy, a full refund or course transfer shall be offered In the event that a delegate is unable to attend a booked training course, the Booking Form cancellation terms apply: • Cancellation prior to the commencement of training shall incur the following charges: • Between 14 and 7 working days: 50% course cost chargeable • Within 7 days: 100% course cost chargeable • All cancellations must be made in writing (email). In the event of non-attendance on the day of training, the full cost of training shall be chargeable • Delegates who fail to complete a course shall be charged at the full rate
